We're baaaack!

As soon as I get my "land legs" working again and settled in, I'll tell you all about our cruise to the Mexican Rivera. Short and sweet; it was a blast, but I have to admit I'm glad to be home.

Halloween Crafts

I saw these witchy shoes on someones blog and I just HAD to make them. Aren't they adorable?! I've filled them with Halloween candy and am going to deliver them to my visiting teaching ladies this afternoon.
I found these craft kits at JoAnn Fabrics, last year, on clearance. After school I let the kids go for it and these are the results.

Just had to share some pictures of Jaime and Craig's sweet baby boy. He arrived last Thursday in quite a rush. Momma, baby and family are doing well. So happy he's here! (The baby shower gender prediction game was right.)

Frightful F.H.E. Fun

On Monday, Rylee gave a great FHE lesson. She told a story about a family of monsters who had to learn how to overcome their fears. "If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear."

To go along with the Halloween/monster lesson, Treyson made these frightful monster mouth treats (apple/peanut butter/marshmallows)..yummy and even kinda healthy. What a frightful, fruity smile! What a mouthful!

Treyson had a blast making them and others enjoyed eating them.

Neighborhood Fun

(First of all I have to say that there is something weird going on with blogspot. My pictures are out of order and spaced weird. Oh well, here it goes anyway.)

Yesterday, our neighborhood had a Halloween party. They had games, cupcake decorating, crafts, a hayride and refreshments. So the kids and I did a test-run with their costumes and went to join in with the festivities. Taylee the girl pirate. Rylee the lovely movie star.
