Track Meet

Rylee joined Heritage's track team this year. Her first meet was last Friday. She participated in hurdles and long jump. We are proud of her efforts and hard work.

Many family members where there to cheer her on. She was almost too cool to acknowledge our presence...but secretly I think she appreciated having us there.

Fighting and Quarreling

Tonight, as Abree and Treyson were playing with Legos...

Treyson: "Mom, Abree just hit me!"

Me: "You need to talk to her about it."

Treyson: "Abree, don't hit me."

Abree: "You just need to control your spit!"

1. If it's not funny to you, I guess you just had to be there. (Jason and I keep chuckling when ever we think about it, but we're trying hard to control it around Abree.)
2. Ya know, she DOES have a point. :o)

Fruit-a-licious

One of Jason's former employees brought this to him yesterday. She says she's starting a new business making these fruit "baskets". (It was actually a fruit pot.)

Almost too pretty to eat...almost.

For Brittany

Two plates of these yummy treats came to my house for FHE, on Monday. Thanks Annie!

Fashion Show

"This is Rylee.
She is a 6th grade student at Heritage Middle School.
She enjoys watching Utah Jazz basketball with her dad.
She likes to shop and is a a "Shoe Fanatic"!
Rylee is learning the art of finding a good bargain. We love thrift stores, yard sales and clearance rack shopping.
Today, she is wearing dark blue jeans with a salmon colored t-shirt. She also has on a dark blue denim jacket and flip flops. What's more comfortable and casual than that?
Rylee's WHOLE outfit, including the denim jacket, cost LESS than $2!"

This morning, we went to a Young Women's Standards Breakfast. They served quiche, homemade cinnamon rolls, fruit kabobs, juice and milk. Yummy!
Then we had a wonderful and inspiring talk by Sister Nye. She shared with us about her experience of going on the "Today Show". She got to be one of the people to participate in the "Ambush Makeover". She had a feeling that some questions might be raised about her wearing garments. She made a choice, before getting there, what she might say or do if that situation arose. It did. She told them that she was LDS, that her wearing them was a religious choice and that if all possible, she would like an outfit that would let her wear them properly and appropriately. No problem. They worked with her and made her over beautifully. The important point was that she had made a choice before hand. She had "drawn a line in the sand" and decided not to cross it. She encouraged all the girls to make choices, right now about their standards, about their modesty and about how they would behave in the future. She was fun to listen to and did a wonderful job.
Then the girls each took turns walking down the runway, modeling their modest attire. Beehives modeled casual, MiaMaids church outfits and Laurels appropreiate formal/Prom wear. As mom's we got to describe our girl's outfits, as they walked the runway and totally embarassed them. :o)

New Croff Family-
Amber, Brinton and Baby Daisy

She is SO cute and has lots (for our family) of dark, kinda wavy hair. I think she looks like her daddy a lot. Brinton thinks she has Amber's lips.Align Center Amber and baby are doing well, other than Amber's back being very sore. She thinks it could be from the epidural.

So glad to have all the baby girl cousins here and doing well.

Welcome little Daisy!
