Our Primary presidency wanted to thank our Primary staff for a job well done. We wanted them to know how much they are appreciated, so we decided to put on a Primary Appreciation Dinner.
On first count, because we invited spouses and anyone who was associated with Primary (scouts, activity days, etc.), we could have had 80+ people come!
Whoa.
But as we received RSVP's our total only came to 20. We planned for 30, just to be safe.
Our menu for the evening was shredded ham sandwiches and a craisin/walnut/feta cheese salad. We asked our guests to bring either a side or dessert to share too. The table looked slim at first, but filled up nicely as guests arrived at "Mormon standard time"...lots of variety, lots of yummy.
We filled the 30 places we had set, plus one. More had shown up, than RSVP-ed, which turned out great.
We visited, talked, laughed and ate until we were full. Good company and a nice evening.
It's always nice when people come to an event you've planned. I seem to almost always have a little fear that no one will show up. :)
Two small regrets:
1. Should have done some name introductions.
2. Should have taken some pictures during the dinner.
Oh well...everything else was great.
Thank you Primary staff, we literally couldn't do it without you.

You are still in primary? Of course you are, you are fabulous at it. That is such a great thing. It is hard to find people willing to work with the kids. Love the center pieces, you always make everything pretty.
Any borrow-able pumpkins? I'm supposed to "decorate" one for my office....and I'm ready to go simple....like attach glasses, earrings and a scarf! ha
